His partner, Carolina López Moreno, who exploded onto the international scene as Liù from Turandot, “portrays Puccini’s emotional depths and human tragedy with remarkable intensity and authenticity.” Essential Puccini, therefore: The two artists will perform excerpts from La rondine and Madama Butterfly, as well as parts of the equally unmissable Il trovatore and La traviata by Verdi. The Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Gianluca Marcianò, who is also at home in the world of the theatre. Compulsory for all lovers of Italian opera.
