Founded in 2000 by jazz drummer and composer Elemér Balázs, the ensemble soon became a prominent presence on the Hungarian jazz scene. Their distinctive sound combines strong melodic writing with the depth of contemporary jazz. A defining element of their style is the interplay between female and male vocals, alongside the fusion of musical motifs from different cultures. Their repertoire ranges from Transylvanian folk traditions to Brazilian rhythms, while elements of Renaissance and Baroque music also find their way naturally into their jazz arrangements. The band regularly performs on major international jazz stages, from London and Vienna to Madrid and Rome. Their 2015 jubilee compilation, Eternal Love (Örök szerelem)—with a tracklist selected by their fans—was named Jazz Album of the Year at the 2016 Fonogram Awards. The summer concert in the Öntőház Courtyard brings together jazz, folk traditions and a wide range of musical influences.
