The joint festival of Müpa, the Liszt Ünnep and Akvárium Klub returns for its fourth edition on October 11. Staying true to the philosophy of previous years, the organisers once again focus on showcasing both the local and international underground music scene. The headliners will be familiar names to fans of contemporary soul, jazz and indie, as Jordan Rakei and Yellow Days have become defining figures of these genres over the past decade.
They’ll be preceded on stage by Madrid’s all-female band Hinds, who released a track with Beck last year, and Okay Kaya, the American-Norwegian singer who has previously toured with King Krule. Jeshi arrives with a groundbreaking album representing British hip-hop culture, and the festival closes with Martin Luke Brown, a fresh new voice in the London indie scene.
These concerts of the Liszt Fest are presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint program with Akvárium Klub.
